Our Staff

 

Janet Fohrman, the owner of Fohrman & Fohrman, Incorporated, has more than 30 years of accounting experience. After working in the field for nearly a decade, Janet began offering freelance accounting services from her home office in 1987. In 2000, she formed Fohrman & Fohrman, Inc. to accommodate her growing clientele and moved the company to a Laguna Hills office.
 
In addition to managing the business, Janet provides QuickBooks, nonprofit and small business accounting services to clients. Our first priority is empowering clients by educating them in sound accounting and business practices, she says. Education is central to Janet's professional growth as well. In addition to being a Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor, Janet continues her education by taking professional education units and participating in four professional organizations.

Janet and her husband have three grown children. In her spare time, her hobbies include trap shooting, riding her ATV through the forest trails, bowling, attending rodeos, horseback riding and enjoying time with her family.

Kitty Ryan has many years of experience in accounting, including over ten years with Fohrman & Fohrman, Inc. Kitty is a valuable asset to our team. She is skilled in all facets of bookkeeping, and currently provides exceptional service to small business clients in industries ranging from advertising to retail and nonprofit. She remembers more about my business than I do, one client observed. Kitty and her husband have three children, and the family enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and beach camping.

Peggy Alward has brought a wealth of bookkeeping and accounting management experience to the Fohrman & Fohrman team. A specialist in nonprofit accounting, Peggy's dedication, attention to detail and understanding of stringent nonprofit accounting requirements inspire loyalty in the nonprofit clients she serves.

From grant allocations for different time frames to restricted funds, nonprofit reporting procedures are challenging, and that's what I like about them, she says. She enjoys riding her horse, taking care of her chickens and most of all playing with her grandchildren.

Patrica Kaloper joined Fohrman & Fohrman, Inc. in 2004. She has over 18 years of extensive bookkeeping experience. Additionally. Pat has knowledge in many different accounting software programs. Her experience and insight into bookkeeping through CPA's review is an asset to the Fohrman & Fohrman team. Pat and her husband have an eleven year old boy and the family enjoys lots of sport activities.

Renee Sorensen joined Fohrman & Fohrman, Inc. in 2006. She has more than 30 years of bookkeeping experience and is highly knowledgeable in many different accounting software programs. She is extremely computer literate and knowledgeable with Microsoft applications which make her an asset to the Fohrman & Fohrman team.
Her dedication and attention to detail and understanding of nonprofit accounting requirements and grant allocations to restricted funds are greatly appreciated by all of her clients. Away from the office, Renee spends time caring for her Dad (a stroke patient). She also spends quiet time with her husband and boys, two Boxer/Rottweiler mix pups weighing over 75 pounds each.

Anita Farzin joined Fohrman & Fohrman, Inc. in 2007. Anita loves to learn. Her recent experience and education promotes a great deal of knowledge to face all types of accounting challenges. Anita handles both nonprofit and for-profit clients. Anita says I enjoy accounting just as much as I love being a mom. Therefore, by the end of the day, I am ready to face the challenges of motherhood. Anita and her husband have two toddlers who love to play endlessly outdoors and of course - never get tired!

Christine joined Fohrman & Fohrman in February, 2006 working part-time as the liaison for our remote bookkeepers and leading our projects department. Christine's calm and cheerful approach and attention to detail helps create a good working atmosphere in which we work and rely upon. Outside of Fohrman & Fohrman, Christine's other activities see her making a difference by volunteering with Golden Retriever Rescue, and she enjoys Scottish Country dancing. Christine and her husband have two young adult children and enjoy getaway weekends in their small plane.

Josh Fohrman handles all administrative and accounting support at Fohrman & Fohrman, Inc. in his role of Office Manager. Josh comes from a background of management in customer service operations and computer technology services. His helpful nature, exemplary skills and ability to multitask make him a valuable asset to the Fohrman & Fohrman team. Josh attended Somona State University, majoring in Business and Computer Science. When not working, Josh enjoys computers, gaming, and music.
